As a photographer, it was an honor to capture the unforgettable moments at Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz's Coming to America themed birthday party on 9/11. The night was filled with reenactments of iconic scenes from the movie and was truly epic.

African dancers brought the marriage scene to life, as friend Sean Cross serenaded the couple with "She's Your Queen to Be" during Alicia's grand entrance. Ty and his band Sexual Chocolate delivered a powerful performance of "The Greatest Love of All."

The guest list was star-studded, with famous friends such as Sean "P Diddy" Combs, Busta Rhymes, La La, and Carmelo Anthony in attendance. It was a night to remember and I am thrilled to have been able to document it through my lens. Check out the entire gallery by clicking the photo above.

On June 10th, 2018, I, Sean Lassiter, had the opportunity to shoot the annual Hot 97 Summer Jam concert on behalf of hiphopsince1987.com. This was a huge opportunity for me as a photographer, and I was thrilled to be a part of such a major event in the hip-hop world.

Held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the concert featured some of the biggest names in hip-hop, with Kendrick Lamar as the headlining act on the main stage. Other acts that performed on the main stage include Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Meek Mill. The festival stage featured performances from acts such as N.E.R.D, Teyana Taylor, and A$AP Ferg.

As the official photographer for hiphopsince1987.com, I had access to the stage and VIP areas, allowing me to capture unique and intimate moments of the performers. One of the highlights of the night for me was getting to photograph Kendrick Lamar's set. He is known for his electrifying live performances and I was excited to capture that energy in my photographs. I was able to shoot him performing his hit songs like "HUMBLE", "DNA" and "Alright" which were crowd's favorite. The crowd was going wild and it was an amazing experience to be able to capture that kind of energy in a photograph.

I also had the chance to photograph other big names such as Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Meek Mill. I also had the chance to capture the behind the scenes moments, from the performers getting ready to the crowd enjoying the concert.

Overall, it was a memorable experience for me, being able to photograph such a huge event and being able to share those photos with the world through hiphopsince1987.com was an amazing opportunity. Check out some of the images below!

Karl "Dice Raw" Jenkins, a well-known American hip-hop artist from Philadelphia, has recently commissioned Sean Lassiter Photography to capture images for his new presskit. Jenkins, who is associated with The Roots and the now-defunct musical group Nouveau Riche, has a storied career in the music industry.

Jenkins' journey in the music industry began while he was still in high school, when a member of The Roots' production team spotted him in a local talent show. The group quickly took the young rapper under their wing and decided to bring his talent along slowly. He made his debut in "The Lesson, Pt. 1" and soon after made a name for himself with cameos on "Episodes" and "Adrenaline," where his hard-hitting style complemented the heady rhymes of The Roots' leader Black Thought.

In 2000, Jenkins released his solo debut album, "Reclaiming the Dead" on MCA Records. He has also made guest appearances on several mixtapes and even recorded vocals for the entrance theme of a WWE wrestler. Additionally, Jenkins has been in the studio functioning as a co-writer and producer for The Roots, and working on his own material.

In recent years, Jenkins has turned his attention to the performing arts world and has written and produced a multitude of musicals, including "The Last Jimmy," a story of mass incarceration inspired by escaped slave Henry Box Brown. He also serves as the board-chair of The New Freedom Theaters of Philadelphia and the producing director of the Devon Theater of Mayfair. He runs indie label Raw Life Records, from where he released his solo project "The Greatest Rapper Never." He also signed prominent battle rapper Rone, who released an album under Raw Life Records titled "The First Story."

With the help of Sean Lassiter Photography, Jenkins' new presskit images will showcase his dynamic personality and passion for music, and help promote his upcoming projects.
